50's Wiring, Handcrafted Bone Nut, Service + Setup - Gibson Les Paul Standard

This Gibson Les Paul had been wired wrong by a previous tech, with overheated pots, a damaged switch, plus cheap import toggle. I've replaced with long shaft CTS 500k pots, new 3 way and wired to 50's spec.

The nut was a Tusq XL that was slightly too low - I have replaced with a handcrafted cattle bone nut which I've cut for 10-46 gauge with half a strings width diameter on show for optimal tone and break angle.

The fretboard has been deep cleaned and conditioned with a full fret dress, for super smooth playability. The bridge had been put on backwards without being set correctly so intonation was off. Now this Gibbo is ready to melt faces again 🎸⚡🎛️
