This 90's Japanese Squier Strat has seen a LOT of action and has never had any work done prior to its Spa day at the Fretbuzz Workshed. I've completely ripped out the stock pots and started fresh with a pro rewire using USA Gavitt cloth wire, Oak Grigsby 5-way switch, Alpha 250K A+B pots and an Orange drop cap.
The hardware was completely rusted over and I've treated the affected areas with rust-off and polished out .
The frets are extremely worn and will require a Refret. I've dressed the grunge out and cleaned the fretboard up for now.
During the setup, I've reduced the relief at the 8th fret from around 0.30" to 0.12" which gives a far better playability. Lowered the action at the saddles and corrected the radius - strung up with Mondo Slinky 10.5".
