Back in the early 80's Dan Smith at Fender had some crazy ideas. The "revised" edition USA Strat with 'Free-flyte' Tremelo system, master tone control and top mount Jack.
The guitar has this strange extra resonance for a Strat, kind of like a Tele....which is all cool until you have to deconstruct it to repair a loose whammy bar insert.
I handcrafted a new bone nut, levelled and dressed the frets then installed a set of @montysguitars overwound '69 single coil pickups, which are superb!
Final setup with Fender Bullet 9-42" 🎸⚡🔊
