Jackson 'Adrian Smith' Signature had a fret level and setup with Rotosound 10-46" 🎸🔥⚡
This came to the Workshed with extreme choke out in the higher register, now after a fret level, crown and dress, plus a slinky setup, it plays absolutely fantastic! I've added tension on the springs due to the way the owner plays, whilst resting a hand over the Floyd. It feels much more solid and doesn't knock the intonation as much. The upkeep of a Floyd Rose can be tough if you're not used to them.
The wood had expanded slightly in the neck pocket and pulled away a few millimeters of lacquer from the neck join when removed for a fret level, I've touched the affected area up. This can be an issue with guitars produced over in Indonesia, the guitars aren't left long enough for the humidity treatment once cut, it's all about quantity and production unfortunately, albeit with a good few hours work, these can play just like a higher end Jackson Guitars and the stock pickups sound amazing!
