This MIJ Precision Bass came in with choke out after the 12th fret. The request was for a lower action and I noticed that when the strings were set to my preferred height there wasnt enough break angle at the saddles - I've try varied shims to correct the break angle, including the industry standard 0.050" and I ended up using around 0.015" which is the perfect angle for this low setup. To get the correct string break angle I also sat the shim slightly further up in the pocket, she plays great!
