Production of the top mounted Gibson Les Paul Double Cut was short lived for some reason, making the pickguard almost irreplaceable - I've custom ordered a celluloid Tortoiseshell pickguard from Tiny Tone by sending in the original (this is now on file if anyone would like one made).
The LP DC tend to have a few common issues, sharp fret ends and a low nut, whilst I was happy with the nut height on this one, the fret ends were very sharp and the crowns had started to flatten off. Full fret dress using my three corner file for the ends has given superior smooth playability, with a very nice conditioned fretboard to boot.
