Sometimes the job that seems like it should be the simplest, turns out to be a huge challenge! I recently had the pleasure of working on a Larivee om 09 and a Santa Cruz Tony Rice.
They both came in for replacement end pin jacks as the standard stock ones are really thin and don't hold leather straps well. Now when you've got two extremely expensive guitars, a good end pin is paramount. Strap locks dont fit these straps, I scoured everywhere online and came up with very few options, one of which being the @musicnomadcare jack adapter for the Santa Cruz TR (not pictured) and the @Hosco endpin for the Larrivee (pictured)
Unfortunately the Santa Cruz TR had a Fishman acoustic voice preamp attached to a jack that didn't fit the Music Nomad attachment, so without changing the 'voice' of this guitar we decided to go with good old rubber bungs to help keep the strap on.
The Hosco however is a sealed end pin barrel jack, so to fit this you need both extreme patience, an extremely long spanner and/or the arms of a small child to install and tighten the nut...I used all three 🤣
