This was a really special one. Ibanez @joesatriani model came to the Fretbuzz Workshed for a huge overhaul.
This was a very sentimental guitar for my client, whose late wife purchased this for him. There was a Joe Satriani inlay at the 21st fret, I suggested to make a custom epoxy resin inlay, using a piece of his wife's jewellery in memory. Really happy with how it turned out, and a great touch if I say so myself ☺️
I've replaced the dots with Shell Abalone, Radiused the fretboard to 16" and fretted with Jumbo Stainless Steel frets, new Gotoh locking nut and Gotoh FR Tremelo, before a ridiculously low, buzz free setup in Eb.
