I'm digging the cool stain on this basswood body! The neck fits the pocket well and has saved me the usual Partscaster issues, although I need a thin shim to sit perfectly flat in the pocket to get the correct height and break angle on those vintage saddles. The neck had a couple of high frets, ya know the ones that give you double of the same note when playing high up 😂
Levelled, crowned and dressed the frets before handcrafting a bone nut as the other was poorly cut. This new one is perfectly cut to have half a string width on show, with optimal tone 😍✌️
I've setup with a low action, slight relief and Rotosound 10's. Super smooth playability. Slightly tempted to make a basswood Strat 🤔 to be continued.. 😃
