This Archtop had the full Gold treatment with upgraded hardware, a Tunomatic Bridge and Wilkinson Humbucker.
The bridge was too high and needed to be sanded with a new radius to get the target action height. The neck has a slope after the 12th fret (like many budget parlour guitars) with a huge neck tenon protruding from the body. Despite the craftsmanship of this very affordable Archtop, I've managed to get things where I want them. Changed a faulty pot out for a new one, and also cut the bridge saddles to fit the flatwounds.
Full conditioning of fretboard and fret polish for smooth playability - I've worked my magic and the setup feels great with Top Tape Monel flatwounds.
